Caravan Serai is well-positioned in the serene part of Bentong, surrounded by the rivers, fruit orchards, stunning hill views and a lush forest. Luxury comes in the form of suites (up to 6 per room) and safari tents (up to 4 per tent) — all pimped up with a plush bed, air-conditioner and attached bathroom. Located just a short 45 minutes out of Kuala Lumpur, Tadom Hill Resorts is ideal if what you need is a quick escape and good dose of nature-based fun with some friends. The clear spring water and beautiful limestone hills backdrop. Stay in one of the two hammock spheres, housing up to 10 people, in a pre-pitched tent for two. Or, bunk in the bamboo hut, a 12-person dormitory with curtain partitions. 5. Dusuntara Jungle Retreat, Selangor

Available for a minimum of 12 persons, this jungle retreat provides catered meals. Choose from delicious local delicacies such as chicken rendang and biryani with mutton, or do your own cooking for a fee of RM100 per day to use the equipment and utensils provided. Located at the foothills of Genting Highlands, some things you can do here include jungle trekking, fishing in the retreat’s own freshwater lakes (it has two), swim in the saline water-filled pool with a jacuzzi, take a drive to the Batang Kali Nature Hot Springs, or even visit the nearby Orang Asli village.
